HUGE Street Garage Sale June 181 - 2016-06-18 09.37.27

It was another fantastic year for our annual street wide garage sale. The annual event grew where we saw an amazing 27 participants, up from 16 last year.

The garage sale continues to be one of the best events of the year for us where we get to clean out items that we no longer need but most importantly an opportunity to socialize with our neighbours and showcase what a great neighbourhood we live in.

Many thanks to everyone that participated and a special thank you to Shengdong and Ai Ling who placed the signs early in the morning and Rudy who gathered them at the end of the day.

Start planning for next year’s garage sale planned for June 17, 2017!

Our annual street wide garage sale is this Saturday, June 18th.

Each year our street-wide garage sale is more successful with this year promising to be even better with more residents participating.

Lots of great items from sporting equipment, toys, furniture, kitchen items, garden articles, books and small appliances.

It is a fun day for family and friends.

Access streets via westbound Notre Dame from rue de la Montagne.

Family Day – An Excellent Day!family day logo

Family Day in the Park that was held this past weekend was again an enormous success.  Thanks to the brilliant weather it is estimated that almost 400 adults/children attended enjoying 450 hotdogs, 300 corn-on-the cob and lots of fun.  To see some photos of the day please click on the following link:

The day could not have been such a success without our amazing volunteers in preparing the corn, cooking the hot dogs and serving the food to everyone.  We also owe a special thank-you to the borough of Ville-Marie, Culture, Sports, Recreation and Social Development, in providing the food, supplies, entertainment and great support.

Finally, Many thanks to everyone that attended and enjoyed Family Day in the Park.  The event certainly demonstrated the fantastic community and spirit of our area that we are all very proud of.

Annual BBQ 2015bbq2 - Copy (Medium)

Our annual street BBQ for local residents was another huge success with a record number of people. It was a great evening to chat with everyone to get to know each other better. It was great to hear of people getting reacquainted after many years, discovering that work colleagues live on the same street and meeting our new neighbours.

Many thanks to everyone that volunteered to help set up and to our fantastic BBQ chefs who worked hard preparing great hamburgers and hot dogs. I would also like to make a special thank-you to Magda for all her hard work translating documents and e-mails.  A big thank-you!
